Homer's 2,700-year-old immortal epic, the Iliad, is back in Turkish with a new and contemporary translation. In this work, which was brought to our language from its translation from ancient Hellenic to contemporary Greek, that special genius and mastery in Homer's unique style and language was not compromised. One of the two great epics of the Anatolian poet Homer, the Iliad is often considered one of the greatest war stories of all time. However, it is a very incomplete definition to say that only the Trojan War is described in the Iliad; This is a story that still vividly conveys to us the bravery of people and gods who struggle with sublime emotions and fight in the midst of tremendous destruction as we move towards an inevitable tragic end. The Iliad epic, called Rhapsody, consisting of 24 chapters and more than 16,000 lines, tells only a small part of the years-long Trojan war between the Trojans and the Achaeans. The city of Troy, which was once unbelievable and thought to be a myth, was unearthed on the southern side of the Dardanelles.
