The 5th edition also continues to present the material in the book with a unique pedagogy and communication style. Pedagogical Features■Problem-Solving Methodology. Chapter 1 gives the six-step method for solving circuit problems and is used continuously throughout the book. This method helps students develop a systematic approach to problem solving. Thus, fewer errors are made in mathematics and theory and the problem is better understood.■Paired Example Problems and Extended Examples. A study question with an answer is given immediately after each explanatory example. The study question is tested to understand the previous example. An extended example in each section was solved by detailed use of the six-step method so that students can see how the six-step method is applied. Students can follow the example step by step without having to turn the page and search for answers at the end of the book.■Comprehensive Handling of Material. In addition to being the most comprehensive book in terms of drinking books, it is also sufficient in terms of mathematics and theory. So, when students have questions about the math or theory they use to solve problems, students can find answers to these questions in the book. They will not need to look at other references.■Computer Tools. The PSpice® program, developed for the Windows operating system, was used throughout the book with examples and discussions at the end of appropriate sections. The MATLAB® program was also used as a calculation tool in the book.In the 5th edition of ■, 120 National Instruments Multisim™ program circuit files have been added. Multisim program solutions for almost all problems solved with the PSpice program are also provided for the instructor.■KCIDE for Circuits program continued to be used.■A symbol is used to identify problems that need to be solved with PSpice, Multisim and/or KCIDE for Circuits programs or problems that are easier to solve with these programs.
