he Oxygen Pro 49 offers a range of functions that allow for a great deal of customisation and control, with velocity-enabled pads, MIDI-resilient knobs/buttons, and an acoustic fader. However, some users have reported difficulties with set up, with some lacking an instruction manual, and the need to re-set the button each time it starts. Additionally, the customer service response from M-Audio has been criticised. On the positive side, the keybed is lovely and an absolute joy to play, with the semi-weighted keys feeling natural and quiet. The keyboard is recommended for operation at MPC beats, with mapping and control being very easy. The pads are solid, and the velocity is better than other models. The official English tutorial from M-Audio is a must-read.
