The Idea of You by Robinne Lee is a well-written book that presents a believable romance between a 39-year-old gallery owner and the 20-year-old front man of a boy band. The story offers an intriguing twist that confronts serious social issues like ageism and sexism. The book features wonderful characters with a realistic transitioning of their relationship from physical to emotional. However, the absence of some character development left readers wondering what happened to Solene and Hayes' relationship in between their times together. The author's writing style of bringing something up but not following through with it was also irritating. Overall, The Idea of You is a good read that well transcends just a romance novel with a captivating storyline and a steamy yet thought-provoking connection between its characters.
