The Pool Tool 104C-1 POOLTOOL is an anode that helps prevent corrosion of pool equipment. It comes with a copper line that creates the ground and completes the circuit. It is made of a metal alloy that is more active than the metal of the structure, so the galvanic anode corrodes instead of the structure. The installation instructions require you to drill a hole in the PVC pipe, and there are two available sizes (1 1/2 inch and 2 inches) to choose from. While it is an easy install, customers should take care to purchase the correct size as there are two different products with differing product numbers. Customers should also note that this anode will not help with any electrical issues, such as a "tiny static" when getting out of the pool, as it only helps prevent corrosion.
