Assessment Editorial Review

**** The product in focus has garnered a very favorable response from users, primarily students and educators in program evaluation. Many reviewers appreciate the textbook for its effective blend of theory and practice, praising its accessibility and ease of understanding. The author, Giancola, is noted for her expansive knowledge and field experience, which enriches the content. Users found the use of definitions highlighted on the side of the pages to be particularly helpful in comprehending key concepts. Educators commend the accompanying PowerPoint slides, highlighting how they facilitate the use of textbook material in lectures and adapt well to virtual teaching environments. The evaluation project materials included in the textbook receive positive remarks for enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings effectively. However, there are some criticisms regarding the accompanying PC Reader functionality. Many users were frustrated by its slow reading speed, with some reporting that it took an excessive amount of time to navigate content. Additionally, the inability to start reading from a specific place in the text and the automatic reset to the top of the page were mentioned as significant drawbacks, negatively impacting user experience. Overall, while the textbook is recognized as an invaluable resource for program evaluation, the technical shortcomings of the PC Reader detracted from its usability for some users. **
