The CMON Zombicide: Black Plague game is an updated version of the original season 1 game. With more than just a re-theme of the original game. The rules are slightly changed which not only balances the game but greatly increases the enjoyment. This edition is a medieval/magic-themed game with additional rule changes, new character tracking, backpacks, weapons, and wounds, that quicken the setup and provide a great game night experience. The game is playable solo, but with 3-4 players, it becomes more challenging. Though the players start with new characters every time, they can level up in the game by completing quests easily. The miniatures of the game are well-detailed and the game features a new addition of the Necromancer boss, with the classic walkers, runners, fatties, and abomination zombies. The game length depends on the number of players. There is no tie between quests, hence, the players can adopt their own rules. The standard game can support six players but can be expanded by using additional spawn zones for every two new players. The product has a good reception by the users, with positive reviews of the gameplay, miniatures, quest system, rule changes, and theme. The negative reviews are mainly related to the Necromancer mechanic, combination of dragon bile and torch, Friendly fire, Only 10 missions in the box, Setup and tear down.
