It came with both screws and double sided tape for easy installation. I used the screws, but I'm sure either method would make for a sturdy installation. I'm not keeping anything super heavy in it, but the file has not shown signs of failing even with lots of paper and file folders in it. It has definitely made my desk area look so much cleaner and more inviting!
