Deep Purple Format: Vinyl Britain 75622 Editorial Review
**** The reception of the reissued vinyl album "Machine Head" by Deep Purple is largely positive among customers, who appreciate both the nostalgic value and the sound quality of this classic record. Many listeners note that the mastering by Kevin Gray has resulted in a delightful auditory experience, with a wide soundstage and excellent dynamics that enhance the listening experience. Customers highlighted the deep noise floor, allowing the music to be enjoyed even at higher volumes without significant interference from background noise. Fans reliving their youthful memories find that this reissue not only provides superior sound quality compared to their worn originals, but also manages to evoke a sense of nostalgia. The mix is often praised, particularly the rich low end and the clarity of the drums and guitar, which some describe as "slicing through" the mix seamlessly. However, a few reviews mentioned some minor ticks and pops, which while not overly bothersome, could be resolved with cleaning methods like ultrasonic cleaning. While the quality of the music has garnered universal acclaim, the packaging has received mixed reviews. Some customers expressed disappointment with the physical condition of the inner sleeve and label placement, which detracted slightly from their overall satisfaction. Many agree that despite these packaging flaws, the album is a must-have for any Deep Purple fan, serving as a critical addition to their vinyl collections. **
