This 8th edition of Advanced Engineering Mathematics is highly praised for its good coverage of engineering principles and applied mathematics. It is Considered a classic and a handy reference to have on one's bookshelf. It has better examples and problems than the 10th edition, making it an excellent choice as a reference for doctoral qualifying exams. The author did an excellent job of explaining concepts without too much text, although the explanations can be a bit brief. However, it is not recommended to use this book as a first textbook for differential equations or signal processing.
