The Grohe 48169000 Soap Container is just the bottle and has a volume of 0.4 liters. The threads are on the outside of the bottle. The bottle threads into the bottom of the pump base. Some customers have found it to be effective but the size can make it cumbersome for some tasks. One customer was disappointed that it didn't fit their older model and another found it expensive for a plastic bottle.
