The MT#2 alignment tool is a good value for its price, according to reviews. It is ideal for aligning the headstock and tailstock of a rotating lathe. The tool is effective for a single use, but it can be pricey. Several customers were pleased with how accurate the tool turned out to be, aligning the centers with ease. Others, however, had issues with the tool not securely seating in the taper, making it hard to determine if the alignment was perfect. Regardless, it is still Considered to be a useful tool for a rotating headstock lathe. Unfortunately, several buyers found it to be too short for their machines, making it tough to use for a Myford lathe.
