Answer: Yes, the wires can be close to the flame without melting. It controls the flame and the gas valve can be left open at all times. -

Answer: Most likely yes, as the kit regulates gas flow to the burner, providing automatic start/shutoff, pilot light or electronic spark options, and flame adjustment. -
Question:
Will this work on a Heat N Glo fireplace?
Answer: This safety pilot kit is suitable for vented gas logs, not manufactured fireplaces, and is compatible with 18" to 30" wide log sets with open glass doors during use. -

Will this work with propane as well?
