The Sonos Roam is a portable speaker that supports Google Assistant controls if enabled through the Sonos app. It can be used as a standalone Bluetooth speaker and is waterproof. However, the setup is not intuitive and the instructions are poor, requiring a lot of time and research to get it connected. The buttons on the speaker are hard to see and use. Despite good sound quality, the software is buggy and the speaker has some documented issues. The Roam complements the Sonos system but does not perform as well as the Move speaker. Some customers have had trouble connecting multiple Roam speakers over Bluetooth without Wi-Fi.
